Women in Rural Enterprise (WiRE) Magazine

We have worked with Women in Rural Enterprise for many years and were delighted to be asked to re-design and re-launch their members magazine. Our task was to increase pages from 16 to 36, streamline workflow, to create a great looking women’s magazine. We also sourced recycled stock paper and excellent printing rates. Just up our street!

WiRE say: The quality of  design from Naughty Mutt is creative whilst sensible and the end result has been fantastic not only as a source of information and news for the members of WiRE but it is now working as an effective marketing tool for them and us as an organisation.

Read the A/W 09 issue of WiRED online, the S/S 10 issue online or request a copy of either issue at the WiRE website

The LegalEasel

One of our first clients all those years ago, we have worked to develop and look after the LegalEasel brand.

We design and print regular brochures, keep stationery up-to-date and produce exhibition graphics. The LegalEasel website is designed and maintained by Pink Digital.

LegalEasel provides courses and conferences for solicitors, barristers, legal assistants and paralegals – serious, intelligent training for honest fees, in parts of the country where professional people most need . Go to the LegalEasel website

Chocolate Nest

When Sarah approached us to design branding for her new handmade chocolate business she knew she wanted pretty but not girly, chocolatey but not just brown. We used the idea of a lovely little bird in its chocolate nest to produce an endearing design which appeals to men and women, all age groups and those wanting not only a present but the occasional nice treat for themself. We produced printed labels, menu cards, a cloth bag design, a car graphic, business cards and clear labels for cellophane bags.
Sarah’s fab chocolates can be found at high quality produce markets across the UK, in her shop at Lyth Hill near Shrewsbury and she is currently working on a hamper line. Sarah said: ‘I wanted a particular look for my new chocolate company and Carla achieved that perfectly and continues to help develop the image.’

Carole Anne Carr, Author

We were approached by Carole Anne Carr, an established children’s Author. Carole needed a set of marketing materials to hand-out at events, but more immediately she needed something to give to children and parents on imminent school visits. There was no time to go to print so could we help?

Of course we could! We designed a bookmark for Carole showing each of her book titles and giving her contact details then we set it up as a PDF file which Carole can print herself on good quality card using her laser printer. A great solution to a “Help, I need it now!” situation.

The file was turned around very quickly and Carole said: Thanks, that’s lovely. We will soon be working with Carole to design flyers for her forthcoming events. You may read about Carole’s work and see her schedule of events and school visits at www.caroleannecarr.co.uk

Creative Boom, banner design

We like to collaborate, we like to work with other designers, artists, creative bods, in fact we like to work with all lovely people. We heard that Shropshire was to get its own Creative Boom Hub and were very excited.

Creative Boom Hubs are regional e-zines that aim to celebrate and support the creative industries within different pockets of the UK. Run completely by volunteers, they include news, events and features covering a wide range of creative sectors whether that’s fashion, photography, film, marketing, PR, gaming, digital, media or animation

When our head designer was asked if she could produce a banner for the launch she was delighted. On the right is the banner (possibly inspired by colleagues). We love it! Click image to visit the Creative Boom Shrewsbury (Shropshire) hub
